Family camping in
Wiltshire

Ancient stone circles, canal locks, river swims and skies full of stars.

Wiltshire is the wildest of our three counties, a place of ancient woodland, chalk downland, stone circles older than the pyramids and skies dark enough for proper stargazing. Family camping here means fishing lakes and hedge-cosy paddocks, river swimming at medieval farms, and woodland campsites fifteen minutes from Longleat's safari gates.

Our Wiltshire picks cluster around Calne, Devizes and the Frome valley, with Salisbury and Stonehenge in easy reach of the southern sites. Expect slightly wilder, slightly quieter camping than the Cotswold honeypots.
